Hi, I live in Alaska (yes, people actually live in alaska) and i have a small flock of chickens, about 26 birds. i also have 5
turkeys and 2 guineafowl (yes, guineafowl in Alaska, don't get smart with me.). I was hoping for the best birds for
    this climate.

Note: The breeds I have are: Porcelian D'uccle Bantam, Easter Egger, Plymouth Rock, Buff Orpington, Sussex Cross,
Black Copper Marans, Austra White, Faverolle Cross, Australorp Cross, Easter Egger Cross, Wyandotte, and a few
unkown crosses. Gimmy some breeds that are cold hardy, good producers, and NEED TO BE FAMILY FRIENDLY!!! [IMG]

Why not look into Chanteclers? They're probably the cold hardiest breed out there.

Chanteclers.. Specifically bred to produce through the cold Canadian winters. Buff Orpingtons also are super cold hardy.
