Unable to Roost....

    I have a rooster that has an injured foot, and is unable to get up off the ground to roost. What is the best thing to do for him?? I went to the barn earlier and all three of the others were roosted and he was standing in the corner [​IMG] Thanks in advance for your help!!!

    My Roo can no longer roost due to frostbite and missing toes...he can still move around fine. He sleeps in a nesting box now.
    Is your roost flat or is it round like a tree branch?
    Roo boy has an easier time on flat surfaces due to the missing toes.
    I don't know exactly what your birds injury is...but maybe a flat roost or a nesting box would make him happy?
    Hope this helps and if it doesn't I hope someone else has some ideas!
