Uncovered Run Material?

Hi All,

I have an uncovered run that is just plain dirt right now, if I put hay down, will it dry out easily after it rains, or would this be a bad idea? My coop is on a slope, and drainage is not an issue.

Welcome! I like shavings better, but have mixed hay in also. Try it and see what works. Mary
