I've got a strong healthy flock of 21 birds. All between 18 and 20 weeks of age. We've had 1 barred rock that we've noticed is significantly under developed. No waddle, no comb, very pale. She had pretty much always been on the smaller side. Just today while they were all free ranging, I've noticed her moving very slow, huddling next to the coop wall, not interacting with the other birds. No scratching or foraging. PS: the birds were all vaccinated for mareks.

    Any thoughts? Suggestions? ??

If you could collect some fresh droppings, I would get a vet to do a fecal float to look for coccidiosis, worms, or bacteria in her stools. She may just be a runt or failure to thrive, but cocci can stunt growth. There are other internal problems that it could be, but I would start there, and put some vitamins and electrolytes in her water. Give her some scrambled chopped egg daily, and probiotics or a small amount of buttermilk or plain yogurt would be good. If the fecal float is not possible, you may want to treat her for cocci with a round of Corid in her water, followed later by worming her and the others with Valbazen 1/2 ml orally, and repeated in 10 days.

Corid treatment is 5-7 days. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid Corid, or 1.5 tsp of the powder, per gallon of water , changed daily. After completing treatment, give some poultry vitamins and probiotics a few more days.

Here is a picture of her. She was born may 26th. Her sisters all have mostly developing waddles and comb and are starting to lay. She's behind significantly. She very vocal, energetic and social, just under developed. I've treated her with Corid, given electrolytes and given her all the food she wants. She was also vaccinated for mareks at birth. We've been giving her a scrambled egg and plain yogurt ever other day for the past week. Just no signs of weight gain. Thoughts?

That is the only kind I know of. Dosage is 1/2 ml orally, then repeat in 10 days. Shake the bottle well just before withdrawing the medicine. She is not quite 5 months, so I wouldn't worry. Her comb and wattles are starting to get pretty pink.
