I myself refuse to be used as a doormat; especially with these two girls. That has earned me the title of witch (well not witch, but the other word) from the one daughter on FB, repeatedly. I really don't care what she thinks. I just try to be a good wife to my husband and be there for him as he comes to realize what these girls learned at their mother's knee which is that Dad is to used and then used some more.
This particular situation is working itself out. I called DH at work to tell him what SD's demands were and he said they could stick it. A few of the rookie officers with DH today overheard the conversation and have offered to come help him on Friday. One has a bobcat with the backhoe attachment. I think the plan is to abandon the old line and dig a ditch for a new one.
I am disabled but even so, five years ago or even a year ago I would have taken the job on and probably would have had the ditch dug by the time DH got home. However I was hit with a double whammy in the health dept. recently. Technically I'm not even supposed to be out taking care of my chickens. The main reason DH can't just take a day or two off to do it is because he is taking Monday off to take me to a specialist in Ft. Smith, AR.
Thanks y'all.
Glad to see that the Thin Blue Line is coming through for you.
As for those girls ~ they are toxic and creating more stress than you need ~ sounds like it is time for DH to set new ground rules for them.
