In July we purchased what we thought were 5 BRs and 3 silkies, unknown sexes from a small local farmer. We ended up with 3 BR hens, 1 BR rooster, the silkies I still don't know how too tell which is which, and one unknown. I am sure she is a hen, but she is black with a pretty blue/green color in her wings and a red color around her neck. When we purchased these we only saw BRs and silkies at this farm. Any clues on what or where this oddball came from. She has the same great tempermant as all the others. Also, will any problems arise from keeping the silkies and BRs together. The pen in 8x16 with a 4x8 coop. They are out to roam about 6-8 hours each day.
