Hi! This is my first thread so hopefully you guys can help me. We dont know the breed of this hens. They have this charming longer feathers on their heads. Other ones dont have those long feathers at all. I'm very curious about what kind of chickens these are! I'll be including some pictures of the rooster too. They looked exactly the same when they were chicks. Thanks for your help! 20201101_172912.jpg

Part of me just wants to say mix breed... but they're kinda uniformly strange... huh. Where did you get them?

Got the female and male when they were babies at a local veterinary! Then they mated and all the hens look the same. Some of them have more of a red colors and other ones are golden. And they have long feathers in the head! I realized some of them have a couple of white feathers too.

Also, the next chicks are 25 days old. You can clearly see the long feathers in the head of one of them. The white with little black spots one is a mix between the rooster I showed in the thread and a female white leghorn. She has long feathers in her head as well!

I would say mixes. Without knowing the family line it's hart to tell. I have several hens and roos with the cute little mini whispy crests. My head rooster is a Spitzhauben, so when bred to non crested hens (of any breed), I get the same little crests. I have them on English Orpington crosses, Easter Egger crosses, Red Sex Links.....on and on.
They are very pretty!

Olive eggers maybe? What color egg does she lay? :)
The eggs are pretty small, the have a creamy color, but not completely white!
More photos of the original hen we bought (her name is Tiny Tim btw xD) with her first biological chicks and an adopted young black star 🙂
