Unsure of day 21

I received 24 chicken eggs from a neighbor who collected them over a period of 1 week. But instead of keeping them at a cooler constant temperature, she put them in a padded container and kept them in the brooder pen with the other chicks she had hatched. I started the batch 8 days ago. Do I start counting hatch date from when I put them in the incubator or from when the neighbor put them in the brooder pen?

I am not quite sure, but I think from when the neighbor put them in the incubator.

Candle them see how the air sack looks I have been told temps over 75 for long periods they will start to grow. Good luck

Thanks. The candling effort revealed that they are 8 days along. I'll keep you posted on the hatch rate!
