How do I keep from having baby chicks aside from getting rid of the Roo?

Just collect eggs daily! There won't even be a possibility of chicks unless a hen is broody and to hatch one she'd have to be continuously sitting on the egg for 21 days straight and with daily collection, that won't be a problem

No, you're fine! They'll be fertilized, but there will be no difference in flavor or appearance. Just like normal eggs
