unwelcomed suprise RANT!!!

I woke up to 3 inches of snow that was NOT in the forecast. Thank you Mr. Weatherman!! I'm SUPPOSED to ship eggs today! Problem is under the snow is a sheet of ice. It's BAD...3 school buses have wrecked this morning. Cars are lining the roads everywhere. My aunt has a police scanner thankfully, so I know when to stay home. I am just aggravated!! I wish winter would go away for the year! We usually get about 4 inches of snow per year. This year...we've gotten more like 15 inches total. *SIGH* Guess I will just have to e-mail some folks and let them know I'm not shipping today. I think if I tried It'd be more like sledding than driving

I know what you mean! This morning we woke up to 3 inches and it is supposed to get worse as the day progresses. Schools are closed, I'm home with the kids and have to pick up eggs that I got a notice left saturday, and a replacement order of chick are somewhere in transit!!

I think they will understand, your wellfare is not worth some eggs. But it is frustrating. We are supose to get 6-10 starting tonight

Glad your aunt has a scanner and you didn't get out there in the middle of the bad weather. Here I have been singing.. "Rain rain go away, and don't come back"

Oh and the weather people.. lol, I don't watch unless it is Hailing/Tornado weather. They always have me expecting snow (which is a great thing here) and it hardly ever comes through.

I'm SOOO ready for spring. We got 4" overnight with more on the way.

Coming back from feeding, looks like I don't have over 100 birds!

I still can NOT believe the next county over actually made the kids go to school!!! There have been 3 buses wreck, one had no kids on it, one is in a ditch with a gas leak AND KIDS ON IT, the other not sure but I think it had kids on it as well. OHHHHHHHH What trouble the school board would be in if that were my kids!!! Just plain stupid thing to do I tell you!! Thankful again that I homeschool....

I'm sitting on 10 inches, plus drifts that are up to my a@@. We are expecting another 10 inches. Yeah possible extra day off again. Sure I have to call off and take the hit but its warmer at home.

birdaholic- At least you have some pretty scenery out there!! I love the snow covered trees in the background!

FortWorthChicks- ME TOO, SO very glad she has that stupid annoying scanner...lol! It is a major annoyance, but on days like this...good to have!

I love the snow, just can't take all the inconveniences to my schedule. We live in an area where there is no snow plows, barely a salt truck, and live on a secondary road so we don't get salt anyway. We just get snowed/iced in. It is pretty if you don't have anywhere to go
