Someone gave me this adorable chicken tractor. I'm afraid I have too many chickens for it though......what is the typical space needed per chicken. Any ideas on how to make this work for 10 chicken? It's about 4 feet tall, 5 feet long, and 4 feet wide. Thanks!

4sq ft per bird is high side estimate.. 3 is norm.. run 10ft per bird.. what you have there is on the small side, birds will be cramped..

I think four o five sq. ft. per bird is good, especially if they will be in during bad weather. The adorable coop will work as a brooder, or for a broody hen with young chicks. The chicken wire won't keep predators out either. Mary
