We bred our female to Tonto a multi show and hunt champion sire, and last night Jane had her puppies. There are 5 males and 5 females. They are such beautiful puppies. I'm posting pictures below so all of you can get your puppy fix for the week. Oh, and like some other breeds; Blueticks don't begin to turn blue until they are about two weeks old. So, these guys are pedigreed Bluetick Coonhounds, even though they don't look like they are. I hope you guys enjoy seeing our puppies grow up. Amy

Oh the cuteness! I love all the different spot patterns.
I took care of a litter of 11 puppies once for 2 weeks- whew! It was big fun, but lots of work (and little sleep!)
Thanks for sharing your cuties!

Ahhhhhh brings back the memories of frosty autumn nights, a good dog, a light and a rifle. Tree! Dog! Tree! I can hear the baying of the hounds over the next ridge. Frigid air carries the sound well. Tree! Dog! Tree! Excited barks to tell me the raccoon is finally in a tree. Tiny white clouds dance from panting dogs. Light reflects from the racoon's eyes. Rifle up, trigger pulled, one chicken killing raccoon is now gone. Hounds silent for a moment as they wait. Frozen grass crisp under my boots as I honor the hounds. Tail high, noses to the ground, feet prancing they escort me home like the good hounds they are.
