The baby has dried off and though it's rear end is a little swollen the blood and yellow goo is drying up it seems. It has a nasty temper and screamed at when I was tapping the glass to get it's pic. Pardon the yellow, I didn't realize the flash went off on a few. Looks like a penguin, it's black and white/silver.

Well, I guess if I was in the condition it was in currently (and it was soooo warm & comfy in that egg!) I'd be a little out of sorts, also. [IMG]

    Thanks for the update.

Chelly I was actually worried because his legs were so heavy looking and he had trouble standing. But when he stood up he was tall! He or she that is!
Carla that is one crabby little bird!

The baby is doing good, I tried to put it in with the one born last Thursday night and it tried to peck it's rear-end so it's back on it's own. We'll see how it goes!

Seeing as you're a teacher, and used to dealing with uncooperative kids.... I'm sure you'll be the *perfect* Mother for this crabby little chicken. Please show us the pics when he/she is eating out of your hand. [IMG]

    Cute baby!

Is that mold growing on the bottom back of the hatcher?

Wow them are some fat legs that chick has on it. He must be lonely in there alone.
