Our 7 seven year old hen is improving!! She's now walking better, even though the limp is very evident. What is so amazing is she smells better too! The death smell seems to have left. Her poops are still not quite normal, but a better color. We're really amazed over here. I never thought she would be alive at this point. It's been over 2 weeks since she became ill. I've been giving her meal worms and she's been making a noise I've never heard her make in all the years we've known her. It's an excited noise. I wish I had a video of this, but last night she tried to climb into her pond liner tub to go to bed! She would fling her crippled leg into the air and try to get it over the side. The kids and I were really thrilled. Also, I think it shows how smart she is that she knows that's become her bed now. She always was the smart one in the flock! [IMG]
