These 2 are from my first batch of 6 chicks straight from the TSC pullet bin.. I was so positive they were all hens, but one is making me wonder... Could she just be overly developed or is she turning into a he... [IMG]

All my other girls look like hen to the left.. Hen to the right is the one making me wonder as her comb and wattle both are developing more than the rest..

They are almost 15 weeks old!

They are individuals so hens can have different size combs and wattles. Right now, they both look like girls to me, but the saddle area would be where to look to be sure.

Need body shot but I say a hen. Breed? Can be just that she has developed quicker than the other one.

She still looks like a hen to me. You might look at the saddle area and the hackles for pointed feathers, but I think girl with a darker, slightly bigger comb. A month from now, you will have no doubt.

Well, they kind of look like white Leghorns to me. Which if that's the case, they could be POL hens. I would like to see a full side on body pic as well as a pic of the saddle feathers (immediately in front of the tail) to be able to make a more educated response.

The body shots seal the deal. White leghorn pullets.
