Today they got to free range in the yard for the first time, just having turned 6 weeks old. I have one Barred Rock named Joon and one Easter Egger named Munk. Here are a few updated pictures from today! Enjoy.

Thank you! This has been so much fun raising these chicky bo bo's as I call them. My Mom even wants to expand the run/coop so maybe we could get away with one or two more laying hens [IMG] lol!

Thank you! [IMG] Joon, the Barred Rock, is so friendly she kept coming to the camera and pecking the lense like "FOOD??"

Oh and Joon knows what a little hand shovel means. My mom was digging a hole to plant a tomato plant and Joon was RIGHT in the hole, scratching dirt out with her feet like "where are the worms??" lol! It was funny, but my poor mom had to quit digging everytime Joon hopped into the hole.

I am excited to see what Munk will look like as a "grown up"! My mom wants to get a Silkie after we extend coop/run because where my little cockerel went had Silkies and they were SO sweet and soft and cool looking. My mom fell in loooove with them.
