I had two hatch out this weekend that I cannot identify for the life of me. I don't have pics yet but here is a description:

Brownish/Black (like a mahogany color) with black stripe from top of the head down the back. Splash of yellow on either side of the black stripe.
Yellowish face with distinct black around the eyes...like eyeliner!
    Yellow feathered feet/legs

Any guesses? It's driving me nuts...

    could they be gold-laced cochins?
    http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGA/Cochins/BRKCochChix.html
where'd you get the eggs from? are they bantams? featherfooted breeds I can think of: cochins, marans, faverolles, sultans, brahmas, d'uccles
d'uccles are tiny, sultans are nearly always white, faverolle chicks are yellow.....

i would think most likely cochins or brahmas and I can't think of a brahma color that looks like that as a chick....

    good luck!
