Hello eveyone, I'm in Lindley, NY and just got my first flock. 12 Barred Rock female chicks. Anyone close to this area raise chickens as well would be nice to hear where you are and what you raise.

Greetings! I'm in Herkimer County, but I don't raise chickens, so I was looking for a NY list that didn't have chickens. I started with ducks a couple years ago (I have 15 from my original 4), then got 2 geese. This year I've gotten 8 runner ducks, 2 new muskovies, & 13 quail chicks (1 Muscovy & the quail chicks at the auction on Sunday). Would I go with the ny-chicken-lover thread, or is there another one that would be better?

Lots of us own things that aren't chickens in there For example, I raise WH ducks, Roman tufted geese, and guinea fowl, so you could still come chat with us about the other poultry. I myself started with ducks and ended up with everything else too, lol.
