Hello!

I'm new on the chicken scene.

My husband and I recently got married and moved to a small house in our small town. He grew up on a farm and I'm a farm girl at heart, so we decided to raise some chickens in an effort to be more self-sufficient! We finally got some chickies last week after I begged him for weeks on end

We have 6 Rhode Island Reds. No names yet. Here they are:







Pretty soon they will be busting outta this brooder!

Congratulations on your new chicks! The Rhode Island Red is a nice breed with a reputation for very good egg production. I've had one production Rhode Island Red and she's certainly been a good egg layer.
