I got this message fowarded to a goat group I'm on. I don't know much more than what's on this message, but the person's phone # starts with 860, so they must be located in Connecticut.---------------------

A friend of mine has a bunch of birds that need homes asap. The
homeowner recently passed away and these animals are going to be
destroyed if not placed by Friday. I know it's late notice but she just told
me about it now. If you can email this out that would be good. The
person that is trying to place these animals is Marcia LeClerc, her
phone number is 860-698-6907. The animals consist of the following:

    > 1 ringneck female pheasant
    > 1 chukar partridge male
    > 8 Call ducks
    > 8 Geese
    > 3 Muscovie Ducks
    > 9 Regular Ducks
    > 1 Pigmy goat female (not sure of the age) friendly
    > 1 Alpine Dehorned Female (not sure of the age) friendly

All are free to a good home

I am hoping with all my might that she found homes for these creatures. I just saw the post now.
In my will, I'm writing very specific language that will leave $10,000 of my estate (more if I have to) to a no-kill farm shelter to care for and place any animals that survive me. It's tragic for someone to die and leave so many animals in need of care. What a heartbreak.

I know, this is horrible! That's very good that you are going put your animals in your will. I really hope these animals get a home...

I'd love to go for those call ducks, but hesitate to buy poultry sight unseen without knowing the reputation of the owner or the history of the ducks. I have too many good ducks here to risk it. I do hope they got a good home...
