Found this vaccine in called triple aviar and seen that the vaccine is given intramuscularly and since some of the hens barely have any breast muscle since they are young I saw that it can be given in the leg but which part? We got the needle since it came with it the vet said in the breast and leg muscle.(best avian vet in the town helped my grandma plenty of times with her hens and sheep.

Have your chickens been diagnosed with any disease? Most people do not vaccinate again Newcastles and avian cholera or coryza unless they have had an outbreak. Most vaccines that are to be given in the muscle should be given in the thickest part of the breast muscle near the breast bone.

It’s a preventive and I wanna be ready for that since their is birds that land near our yard. The hen is pretty skinny though she’s the lightest she eats a lot, has her crop big she has been dewormed two weeks due to one of her mates having worms as well.

Since we asked for what vaccines chickens need and all that and he showed us that one

Im afraid to also vaccinate them in the breast since last time we did try vaccinating one in the breast with Tylan 50 in the breast we probably injected her wrong since the hen looked dizzy minutes later she spazzed and died and I don’t want to inject hens in the breast.

This part. Between the hip and first joint below it; feel along for the bone and stick the needle about an inch behind the bone.

Sorry, it's the only pic of a naked chicken thigh I had.
