Went to ship a box of eggs today using the original flat rate box that was $8.95 to ship...now that same box is $9.80
Just thought i would give everyone a heads up.
They said everything went up a little bit. But I know that delivery confirmation stayed the same, still $.65

I bought several months' worth of the "forever stamps." I am really considering trying some of the online bill-paying.

I noticed the news story about it said there would be an "annual price adjustment" from here on out.

I generally get pretty annoyed at postal increases. However, with the price of gas, I honestly think they would have no choice. Everything is getting more and more expensive. Gas is $3.66 for the cheap stuff here. With my about 80 mile total commute to my kids school a day it is getting ROUGH!!!

The thing that really angers me about postal increases is that they are right up there with UPS and FEDeX for charges but they do not offer the same level of service as the other companies. Priority Mail is now dimensional and a dozen eggs just can't be safely shipped in a flat rate box. I think that if the PO is going to charge the same as the other companies they should offer the same options, especially the ability to track the parcel throughout it's transit.

I'm just plain stubborn, I won't buy the "forever" stamps as long as they make neat ones.

I don't send as much mail as I once did, but if I send someone a card or letter, I want it to look nice, and be interesting. Oh well, philatelist from way back, what can I say? [IMG]
