UV light

Can somebody tell me where I can find the recommended time to keep the UV light on in the incubator. We just purchased an incubator that has a UV light in it however naturally the instructions did not say How long to keep it on

I don't think you need it. Neither of mine have the UV light feature (which I believe comes on most reptile incubators). Can you just turn it off?

Or is it for cleaning or something? Can you Google your particular incubator to see if there are extra instructions or maybe folks that have used it that can offer some tips?
