V ITAMIN B12 or BREWERS YEAST for chicks???

You don't need either for your chicks. Brewer's yeast is sometimes needed for ducklings when feeding a chick starter because it does not contain enough niacin for them, but there's enough niacin in chick feed for chicks.

If you want to give them vitamins, you can pick up some Poultry Nutri Drench and add that to their water :)

If your chick starter is fresh, they shouldn't need extra vitamins. Look at the mill date, no older than four weeks will be best. Nutridrench is great if they arrive stressed and need an extra boost. Mary

I have added Nutri drench to the water, as I have 2 littles separated from the bigger chicks. One of them has a limp after getting jossled (posted on injury/treatment thread), so I'm trying different kinds of support/splints to see if something works.

I ask about the Vit B because of the limp/any potential bone problems.

So Vit B wouldn't benefit her? I'm just a really worried mom.....

Thank you for the replies, I really appreciate it. The two are so tiny, I hope my little limpy one bounces back, and both do well. Every finger crossed.
