I have 2 RIR's hopefully pullets. I have read they need vaccinations, but when I aksed around for vet's in my area they said they do not see chickens. No one I know vaccinates their chicks. Although I only know 2 people who have them. Is this something I can do myself and where do I get the supplies and a timeline for them? They are now approx 6 weeks old.

Mine aren't vaccinated - but I feed them medicated chick feed and was told that was ok.

You do not really need to vaccinate your birds unless you are seeing a problem in your area with some. I vaccinate for Mareks, but, I have also had Mareks on my property in the past.
