I have valbazen (albendazole) broad-sprectrum dewormer. Can I administer in their water or do I need to administer directely to each bird via mouth?

    Quote:Welcome to BYC.
It's best to administer by mouth, use a syringe without a needle, 1/2cc for standards, 1/4cc for smaller birds.
Adding it to water is guesswork. You dont know if they drank it and you dont know if enough of it was drank to be effective. You dosing them personally guarantees they got properly treated.
ETA; redose again in 10 days.

Can Valbazen be purchased at the local feed store or only online?

Quote:I called a feed store and they said that it was $45.00. When I saw that price online, I wasn't sure if it was the de-wormer that can be used on chickens.

It's a liquid cattle/sheep wormer. You can use it on your sheep and goats as well as your chickens Kuntrygirl.
