Hey guys, I've noticed that more and more flies are swirling around and inside the coop.
I've read many posts saying that to eliminate flies best is to use Vanilla car freshener. These car fresheners have very strong smell (at least to me) will I not damage my chicken's respiratory system if I put vanilla air freshener inside the coop? Chickens are only spending a night in the coop and roam during the day.

We used those little vanilla scented trees in our coop last summer and had no flies. Every so often I add a little vanilla extract to refresh them. No health issues from them that I noticed.
