I've been getting a variety of sizes of eggs from the girls, Jumbo double yolkers quite often.....but boy was I surprised when I found this teeny weeny one!!

Kind of fun never knowing exactly what you are gonna find!

I like the variety also...kind of miss those little pullet eggs! Oh, well, 22 more little ones coming up to produce more of those eeny-weeny eggs for me.

I've got an old leghorn and I'm not sure of her age but she will lay 4 days out of 7 and it is always a very, very large egg that resembles a goose egg, more oblong than a chicken's. It usually has two very large yolks inside and sometimes 3 smaller ones. Let's hear it for the old gals!

My girls started laying just last week - one day after they turned 16 weeks!!! And now I'm getting 11 eggs a day!!!! I have 3 dozen in the fridge, and my DH gave a dozen to one of the nieces this morning - good thing!

Like yours, all different sizes. One girl is laying jumbo size, the others small to really small - but none as tiny as your itsy-bitsy one. Maybe the hen that laid that one is half bantam, you think??!! lol

I don't think she's half bantam.....just a beginner. I have two I'm still waiting on to start laying, and I think that might have been one of them. Doesn't matter to me....I'm enjoying them all!
