Hi all,
I have a 3 week old chick (who is an only child)hatched by mama hen. Im pretty sure he's a rooster. He lives in a large dog kennel with his mom in a room with other older baby chicks. The thing is he peeps all the time ! Especially in the evening. Until he goes under mama for the night. I tell him he has food , water and he has his mom. What else could he want. I raised another only chick with the mom a few months ago. She is still in the room and runs freely. But she never raised a fuss like this one. Any advice ? The hen will be going back to the coop soon then I'm not sure how he will be. All other chicks are 3 months and older.
