Picture coming soon. OK, I've been reading about treating, medicating, and dressing bumblefoot. That's fine, I can do all of that care BUT bad Mikey has no scab or entry wound that I can find. His ouch is on his "thumb" the big joint of the most inside toe. My question is, do I lance it and drain it at its current state or if I wait until it has gotten bigger and started to drain on its own am I asking for more problems? I figure he has done something to develop it because of his pacing, stubbed his foot or whatever. Once healed, does swimming in clean water help them from developing it? The used to have a small stock tub but I stole it when I had ducklings to raise. They currently have "floating" boxes that are deep enough for them to float in and maybe paddle a little but more often they wade in them. I try to change the water every few days - ducks love them better when they are clean. I always wondered what duck and chicken shoes were for, I guess now I know.
