Hi All!
Does anyone else vet train their chicks?

I stretch out their wings to be clipped, and flip them upside down for a few seconds a day to get them used to doctor's exams, so they don't freak out.
I accidentally did this with my duck. I was sooo glad I did! I would play with her and pretend she was my duckie hat and flip her upside down on my head since she was a tiny duckling.
And when it came time for her check up, the vet was very impressed at how well behaved she was!
So, from now on I train all my birds to behave for the vet!
They aren't spoiled pets or anything...
Hehehe!

I've never taken a chicken to a vet. Your chicks go in for check ups?
Yes. I have a vet who sees chickens. I'm not sure how to clip their wings. They're waaay to young yet to worry about that yet, but they're trying to fly.
3 are a week old a a fourth is 9 days old.
My parents don't trust me to clip their wings until I've been taught by a vet. I'm 31.
