is it OK to put vinegar in the water if you are using an aluminum pan?

    Definitely not.

Do not use vinegar in any type of metal pan except for possibly stainless steel. It will corrode the metal and possibly cause poisoning from metal toxicity.

Thanks I was afraid of that, I have a 5gallon TSC bucket in a metal pig pan for a waterer outside.
