I bought a vitamin and mineral supplement that goes in the water. How often do you use it? Everyday? I think it's from Duravet?

Depending on what's in it, I usually use mine once a week. The exceptions would be molting or a sickly bird - then I use on alternate days. Welcome to BYC [IMG]

I rely on the good diet my birds are eating, and don't add vitamins, minerals (well, okay, oyster shell!) or electrolyte mixtures to their diet, or water, on a regular basis. Newly shipped chicks will get electrolytes in the water if they are looking stressed, just for a few days. Mary

How old are they? I give them PND for the first couple of days, then decrease to 2 - 3 x/week for a couple of weeks. Stop vitamins when they have access to compost or deep litter/free range. I give some vitamins to my hens when conditioning them after a long hard winter before collecting hatching eggs.
