I have been working hard this last year to get chickens to lots 1 acre. (current requirement of 2 acres)
Thought it was going to go through without a hitch. I have met opposition from locals.
If you live in Bow, PLEASE get out and vote YES to amendment H in the zoning laws to allow for small flocks.
Currently you need 100ft between you and your neighbor's property line. With the change, 50ft only will be required and only 1 acre of land.
If you know anyone interested in chickens and live in Bow please call them!
Voting at the community center (fire station) 7am - 7pm.
Please read Concord Monitor letter to the editors to see the issues.
Thank you,
I will let you know what happens.
AND -- thanks to everyone who has led the way to do this. I found your postings very helpful.
