waddles

    who wants to know?
    what does it mean when a rooster's waddles are hot/cold??

    The wattles are usually warmish (not hot or not cold) but body temp. I would say it generally reflects the temp of the bird, though could be cold in winter. I know the color of the wattles can tell you if a bird is sick -- a nice red healthy wattle is good, but a shrunken, purplish, dark wattle means illness.

    Means he's been hanging out with too many ducks they waddle Chickens have Wattles [​IMG]
    Agreed it's all relative to body temp also a good indicator of their health
