Waiting for ducklings.......

Our cayuga & welsh harlequin have been sitting on eggs for what seems like forever!!!!!!

Everyday we keep going out to check and see if we have any ducklings and are still waiting...we're not sure when they strated sitting for real so can't really count days. At what point do I assume the ducklings won't hatch? I know they're fertile.....

Any suggestions or tips? Other than be patient?

I think that most broody ducks get all fluffed out and puffy. If yours isn't then you might have to candle the eggs to tell.

Oh, they're broody alright!!! They sit on their nests all day except to eat/drink and want us nowhere near them! We get the evil eye and hissed at anytime we even peer in at them! I'm just curious if there's a point that you assume they're not going to hatch?
