Its a ROO!!! Started crowing this am. Gonna have to find him a good loving home now.
rooster, I have one that looked just like him about a month ago.....for sure a rooster....mine was really tasty
what a beautiful bird! what breed? it honestly looks like a hen to me despite the curled tail feathers... some hens just have those, it doesn't make them roosters. :
Quote:yeah I'm not so sure either I don't see any wattles?? I would keep her/him a little bit longer to make sure!
Is that a black star? Or black sex link? If it is I would say hen, I have one and her comb is quite large for a hen.
People on the forum thought it was an EE. Its also a bantam.
wrong kind of comb for a sex link... wrong color legs for and EE. i guess if it's a girl you'll have to wait and see what color eggs she lays.
At 10 weeks would "it" be crowing if it was a rooster?! I thought they started doing that very young?
Quote:it depends I had a roo crow at 10 weeks then had one that didn't crow till 18 weeks so it really depends
I don't see anything that screams rooster. I say it's a hen.
