Looks like they could be Call mixes.
Ok thats what I thought but they are bigger then my other Call ducks.Do you think they could be a mallard / call mix???
Maybe but with the bibbed color it's less likely. They could just be poor pet quality calls too.
O wouldn't call the poor quality just not SOP which unless your showing them it doesn't matter any way. I think they are pretty.
Indeed, I think they are both quite handsome and I will tell you all that I've had at least 4 "barnyard mix" hatches here, every single one of those ducks that made it thru hatch was healthy and strong, one of the girls gave me these beautiful huge dinosaur eggs every single day until I (foolishly) gifted her to another farm, where she continues to lay big beautiful eggs. This last hatch of pure Khaki Campbells, however, did not feather in as expected and I don't think I'll every try for pure KCs again. Mixes are my favorite and those in the pic above are lovely and I would be proud to own them.
Ok thanks I do show call ducks but not out of these hens. But I don't think you can have to many call ducks.
Kinda like potato chips huh?
Yeah never never can have enough....
