After what seems like forever the time finally came where I was able to sex my unexpected hatchlings.. they are now almost four months old and out of the five that hatched only one was rooster.. yeahhhhh!!! Mom was black bearded silkie and dad was full size EE/Ameracauna as what the hatchery called him.. never realized he spent time with my silkie as they were in different locations but surprise surprise.. the EE gene must be strong.. outside of the little bit of feathering on the feet this crew looks straight EE! Can't wait to see what egg shell color I get.. apologize for some of the darkness.. not greatest light in barn.. and I think my frostbite recuperating Japanese bantam roo shows up in one or two also..
