That was the idea, JerseyChicken. They love scratching through grass clippings & sometimes like digging through leaves, but that pile has sat untouched for a couple days. I think tomorrow I'll kick them around a bit and see if they like that better. The nice thing about leaves is that they do sop up some of this fall rain we've been having. Or at least give me something to walk on that isn't 100% muck.
