Tragedy struck yesterday and my lone RIR hen lodged herself underneath the fence and died. I am heartbroken as she was a bird who worked with me and at-risk youth, and she had such an outgoing personality and was quite the chicken. She came to me via a 4H show as a pullet, so she was nicely tamed at that point, but her chickenality really didn't happen until a good year later.
I am looking for another hen, age is really not that important, but she must be a bantam to fit with the rest of my flock, healthy, and have a friendly disposition that I can work with to bring out further.
Located in Twin Cities, MN and willing to drive quite a distance for the right bird.
