Welcome to BYC. Think you should post on the "Silkie thread," for that kind of advice. Just put that in the search box and it will come up for you.

Welcome to BYC! It's great to have you.

Breeding Silkies can be very fun, but it can also be very challenging! They are a hard breed to perfect. What kind are you interested in breeding? Do you have a specific variety you are interested in? Will you be breeding pet quality birds for fun, or are you interested in show quality birds and breeding to the standard? I agree that you should stop by on the Silkie thread and introduce yourself, there's a great community there.

Welcome, welcome! I am glad you decided to join us here at Backyard chickens! You have gotten some solid advice on Silkies, and I am no silkie expert, so I will just say hello, and good luck!
