warm laying mash - they love it!

I decided to fix my chickens a treat when it was cold outside. I took some Layena and mashed it up with warm water. They loved it! They gobbled it right down. It's nice to see them enjoying their food so much.

I will occasionally have Super Breeder Crumble and I'll make some very watery oatmeal, mix the crumble in then cool it a little with either buttermilk or plain yogurt. They do love that! You could leave out the oatmeal and just make a crumble hot cereal for higher protein.

I wonder if an old bathtub with a hose attached to the drain would work. You could plug it until you needed to drain it. This is what I've been thinking of for when I get ducks.
