Ok, these pics are already almost a week old already, I am pretty slow, but these are my new babies! We got a mix from MMH and don't know what ANY of these are, save for the Turkens, so if anybody has a good idea on their identity, please let me know!

I love the little guy in the middle puffing out his chest!

Well I don't know what all of them are but the black one's with white spot on thier heads are Barred Rocks...know this cuz thats what I got this year. The other one you were holding looks like maybe an Auracana....maybe. You should ask down in the which breed is this forum.

    Very cute though...congrats! [IMG]

Okay, my guesses, starting with the one on the feeder...I think cochin, but could be really wrong. then Ameraucana. then Barred Rock (I have one of these and that is identical to mine), then you know the last one I'm sure.

Thanks, barred rock I was thinking too, so that helps-unfortunately the magazine shows an awful lot of them that look almost exactly alike, so we just weren't sure! And yes, we got 52 of them, and haven't lost one so far, I am so happy! They are 12 days old now. Any moderators able to move this to the "what breed is this?" forum? I didn't think to post it there originally!

Quote:Oh my GAWSH!!!!!!!! How incredibly cute! I have a naked neck named Hamlet. She is MASSIVE. The biggest hen Ive ever seen, and she also lays HUGE eggs every day. She eats and eats and eats, and is the sweetest and cutest thing ever! Congratulations on your new babies!
