So I lost an about 10 week old barred rock pullet last night. I got home after dark so I didn't get the coop door shut as early as I usually do. All my ducks and chickens free range and then get shut in the coop at night. I knew last night 1 was gone. I have lost a few others and never found any remains. This one we found on the roof over our porch. So the shortest part of the roof on our house. All that was eaten was the head and neck. I guess I figured we wouldn't find her. I figured they would eat the whole body.

Probably a owl. They will kill then get up off the ground to safety to eat. A net will stop a owl but not a coon.
