Was told this was blk australorp but it has white earlobes any ideas..
Well, I can tell you what he isn't, and that's a Jersey Giant. But he is certainly handsome.
Hmmm.... Interesting! MY first thought was JG and then I corrected myself! I have no idea! Maybe a cross of some sort?
Hope someone else will chime in!
could it be a black minorca? Look it up and see. Gloria jean
I can see some pink under the "white"...i.e. not TRULY white earlobes. I'd say that he is indeed an Australorp. Truly white earlobes are like what you see on a LaFleche or Minorca.
I would say he is a nice mutt. He has several traits of the egg laying breeds (leghorns or minorcas): The long sweeping tail feathers, extra large comb with lots of points, long legs, and thinner across the back than the heavier breeds, not to mention the white earlobes.
he is not an astrolope they should have red ears not white or pink he look like a minorcas or andalution X juging by the larg comb and body size but not a astrolope
Those earlobes aren't a true white as said before. His shanks are black, soles look to be pink though. . .
I say Black Australorp.
Maybe a black leghorn? handsome fellow whatever he is
