I have been reading a lot about what to do and what not to do as far as washing or not...what temp. water, and so on.. I have had hens laying for about a month and really havnt had anything dirty on them that i thought needed to be removed. My question.. How fast will the bacteria be sucked through the shell after i wash it? Can i just wash them off right before i crack them, if i think they are boarder line between needing a wash , and not?
