  1. I would like to see if we have enough interest to start a waterfowl ONLY egg swap? This thread could give those who have waterfowl eggs an outlet to even MORE eggs! [IMG]

SWAP RULES - This list is subject to change so please check back periodically.

    ***BIG RULE***
The person who just offered eggs up gets first “dibs” on the person’s eggs. For example… let’s say Sue Joe bob just offered two sebbie eggs. And then Billy bob comes along and says that he wants them and then he offers two mallard eggs. Sue has the first choice of those eggs. And until she finds something she wants, she get first dibs on eggs. That way, we can keep the chain moving but at the same time, we can track who is getting what and who is still owed eggs. The chain cannot move on until the person who is owed eggs either passes on the current offer or takes them. Anything longer than 24 hours without a response will be automatically moved along.

    2. The eggs MUST be from waterfowl (i.e. ducks, geese, exotic waterfowl is welcome, but please check to see if permits are required before getting anything too wild & crazy!)

    3. If eggs are from mixed colors, please note color combinations and possible outcomes.

    4. Minimum of 2-4 eggs. This is because some geese are not that great of layers and neither are some ducks! [IMG] If you would like to offer more, that would be fine too but please be able to back up that offer with eggs.

5.To qualify for accepting an offer, you need to post what you are offering in return in the same post.

    6. When each trade is posted, please pm or email the person who offered the eggs and work out the shipping arrangements and do not do so on the thread. This will cause confusion, clog the thread and get us all off topic.

    7. The person sending the eggs pays the shipping costs.

    8. When eggs are mailed, swapper needs to send a courtesy email to the swappee to let them know that the eggs are on their way and please include a tracking or shipping number as well.

    9. All waterfowl breeds of poultry are welcome in the swap. If you are not sure whether your breed is rare, post it and group interest will decide if it is allowed.

    10. Please offer eggs that you will have available to ship within two weeks of offering!

If you only have a pair and especially if the breed doesn't lay well, combine two waterfowl breeds.

If the thread stalls for 24 hours, try changing your offer.

If combining different breeds and dates, write in pencil the date collected and breed.

Side trades are welcome but please use PMs to avoid confusion.

I would take these in a heart beat! But I only have pekin hens with crested cayuga drake. Getting a pekin drake this weekend so they would not be pure until a week.....My roen pair is due to start laying any day. If waiting a week to mail pure pekings are ok, then I could take them.
