We are new to this Chicken Thing!!

Hi,
My daughter Bri and I will be lurking around here till we get the gist of this chicken raising thing. I told her it would be only till they were big enough to go back to the big coop they came from, but now we are looking at getting a small coop! I'm terrified of birds but I like to pick up the babies! Crazy I know.. but anyways we will be posting here and there. Have a great day!

Well we have expanded our little brood to two more. We now have 4 little chickens. We got two Golden Sex Links about a week ago and they are so fun.. They let us hold them and the love to sit on our shoulders. I never thought I would have this much fun with a bird. I've been terrified of birds since I was a little girl. So this is a real set forward for me. Brianna is like an old pro with them. Just reaches in and picks them up. Thank you to our landlady for giving them to us.. We have a coop on layaway and can't wait to get it.. a few more weeks and they will have their new home!!
