For the last week we have had a girl or two flying out of the run during the day. Since we let them range in the yard when we are home and that fence is the same height as the run we thought we had better clip some wings. For a first time it wasn't too bad. We studied up here and watched two of the videos on YouTube. We set up a chair for Donna who had a towel across her lap. I did the catching and clipping while she held the nervous girls. Having two each of six different breeds it was interesting seeing who put up the most fuss. The Buff Orps were absolutely terrible which was a big suprise. Also the noises they made were all different between the breeds but the same between the two of the same. Hopefully we will have no more fly aways.
